Yong Lu, Author, The Third Force: America’s Nonprofit Organizations and People-to-People Diplomacy
Lu is the first person to systematically introduce the concept and practice of modern philanthropy to China.
She is CEO and Founder of Evergreen Asia Advisors, a nonprofit management consultancy. Lu has served in leadership positions at a number of major nonprofit organizations including the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Committee of 100. She was an Executive Director at CCS and was a founding consultant for launching the Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University. Lu is a frequent speaker about philanthropy and widely publishes in the media. She serves as a Founding Trustee for the Institute for Philanthropy Development at Jiao Tong University. She is also the author of Fundraising for A Cause (Social Sciences Academic Press, Beijing 2014).
Lu received a B.A. in Communications from Fudan University and an M.A. in International Relations from Yale University.
